Professor: Dr. Tracy Amerman

Fall 2019

Samantha Bahna, Damiano Mastrandrea, and I designed a long-term vision for the district's technology program to address an influx of learners of a New York City school district with three new schools. Determined the technology resources required for the implementation and evaluation tools to assess the technology program.

The plan was to fill the position of an Educational Technology Coordinator among the three new schools. The write-up included the job requirements, salaries, job descriptions for each of the positions, and along with the policies and procedural manual for the position. Danielson's (2017) framework for professional practice guided the technology coordinator evaluation rubrics, included four domains: Domain 1: Planning and Preparation, Domain 2: The Classroom Environment, Domain 3: Instruction, and Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities.

The plan was a proposal to increase achievement in Math at a school district through the implementation of technology. The recommendation included implementation, time, cost, selected technology resources, and staffing needs to account for diverse learners.

Joanna Antoniou and I designed a district-wide professional development series for the Blackboard learning management system (LMS) with a training schedule. The professional development plan covered ways to overcome resistance to the LMS, learning outcomes, and deliverance of the training.
